NewsNovember 16, 2007National Safety Council Profile Torcon’s industry-leading efforts in OSHA’s VPP are discussed in NSC’s December 2007 newsletter. Torcon’s corporate safety director Leon Baukh was recently interviewed by the National Safety Council for a VPP Participant Profile in the organization’s monthly publication, OSHA Up To Date. The article highlights the unique challenges of implementing OSHA’s Voluntary Protection Programs on construction sites. “Your workforce changes on a daily basis,” says Baukh. The National Safety Council is a nonprofit, nongovernmental, public service organization dedicated to protecting life and promoting health. The NSC is a membership organization, founded in 1913 and chartered by the U.S. Congress in 1953.
