Scott Loureiro Promoted To Project Executive by
Torcon
Red Bank, NJ (July 29, 2007) – Torcon, Inc., one of the largest
construction management firms in the country, announced that D. Scott Loureiro
has been promoted to the position of Project Executive.
Since joining Torcon in 1999 as a Project Manager, Mr. Loureiro has been
actively involved in a variety of R&D, pharmaceutical and biotech projects.
His management experience includes the construction of a pharmaceutical/biotech
incubator facility in North Brunswick, NJ, for the New Jersey Economic
Development Authority (NJEDA) and for the International Center for Public
Health (ICPH), a $50 million lab facility developed by NJEDA at Newark’s
University Heights Science Park. ICPH is home to the Public Health Research
Institute, the UMDNJ New Jersey Medical School National Tuberculosis Center
and the Department of Microbiology and Molecular Genetics, and was recognized
by R&D Magazine in its annual Lab of the Year competition. He most
recently completed two cGMP manufacturing facilities for Bristol-Myers
Squibb. Scott is currently project executive for several biopharm projects,
including a new inhalable insulin manufacturing plant for MannKind Corporation
in Connecticut.

Overall, Mr. Loureiro has more than 25 years of field-oriented management
experience with extensive major project assignments and preconstruction
responsibility. His projects encompass a variety of facilities, including
high-end corporate interiors and headquarters, as well as technical centers
such as research and specialty labs, process installations, trading floors
and recording studios.
Mr. Loureiro received a Bachelor of Science degree in Construction Technology
from Farleigh Dickinson University.
