Anchor Stores

Torcon's first project with Neiman Marcus was a new 140,000 square-foot retail store in Short Hills, New Jersey. The three-story facility was added as a new anchor to the Mall at Short Hills.

The project was awarded under a competitive lump sum general contracting contract. Torcon was also the successful bidder on a simultaneous Neiman Marcus store at the King of Prussia Mall in suburban Philadelphia. Like the Short Hills store, the Pennsylvania facility was a new anchor added to an existing mall.

In both cases, the malls were undergoing major expansion and upgrade programs in conjunction with the store construction.

Based largely on Torcon's performance on those two projects, we were awarded a third Neiman Marcus facility to construct, a 140,000 square-foot store at Garden State Plaza in Paramus, New Jersey, which was completed under a negotiated construction management contract.
