Contract to assist the University in its planned program to develop a pedestrian-oriented campus. Removal of curbs, asphalt roadways and concrete sidewalks. Removal and/or replacement of underground piping. New storm water management system; walkways, stairs and plazas with snow melt; lighting; and landscaping. Extensive site re-grading and protection of mature trees.

A major upgrade of 30,000 sq. ft., 30-year-old central research facility to increase capacity by 30 percent with improved sterile work capabilities, research flexibility and disease containment. The introduction of clean/dirty corridor system to create barrier facility with two new radio-imaging suites (MRI, PET) including shielding, vibration, isolation and support. The work to be completed in two phases to maintain ongoing research operations in fully occupied building. Pursuing LEED-CI Certification.

A 22,000 sq. ft., three-story research facility.  Bio-containment zones (BSL-2 and BSL-3 with ABSL-3 holding and procedure rooms) on the two main levels, with in-vitro BSL labs. Areas served by personnel airlocks and central distribution system for specialty gases and services. Support spaces including office, break and conference rooms, lockers, decontamination/staging areas and loading.  Robust mechanical and electrical systems with effluent decontamination system. Full penthouse with MEP equipment to allow bio-containment space to be serviced from outside the containment barrier.

New six-story, 88,000 sq. ft. student center that will serve as the signature entry point to the campus. Features multipurpose space for lectures and academic programs; student and faculty dining facilities; college store; fitness and wellness center. Extensive group meeting and collaboration spaces, as well as dedicated computer and study suites. Designed to achieve USGBC LEED Silver certification.
